Marmaris sits on the southwest coast of Turkey and has long hot summers and mild and rainy winters. It’s very unlikely to see rain in the summer months between May and October. This means the clear skies are accompanied by the hot Mediterranean climate that sees a massive 14 hours of sunshine a day. Temperatures can peak around the scorching mid 30s in July and August, which also makes the sea pleasant to swim in. If you’re not used to the heat, travel in April and early May to enjoy a warm 25°C climate.
